Alimentitalia Srl of Italy, exporter and marketer of authentic Italian specialty foods, has opened a U.S. office, Italian Foods Corp., in Oakland, California. The new company will be run by Elena Lapiana, the daughter of Alimentitalia’s owner. The company will import, warehouse, and distribute Alimentitalia’s vast line of Italian delicacies, including Lapiana® stuffed pastas, Sole Mediterraneo® pasta sauces and spreads, and Le Conserve della Nonna™ fruit jams and grilled vegetables.

According to Alimentitalia’s owner, Giancarlo Lapiana, "the new office and distribution center will allow us to better serve our clients in the U.S. by reducing minimum order quantities and significantly shortening lead times for delivery".
